Award of Appreciation

Established in April 1988, the Award of Appreciation is presented by the Board of Governors to that individual(s) who is not a member of the Bar in recognition of outstanding service toward the creation of a better public understanding of the legal profession and the administration of justice, the judiciary or the legislative process.

    2026 Recipient

Fabiola Perez is the State Bar of Arizona’s Public Service Center Manager. She joined the Bar in 2009
while pursuing her undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work and has held positions throughout
the organization. In 2023 she took a leap of faith to lead the Public Service Center (PSC), which serves as
a legal resource hub for Arizonans.

During the past three years, Fabiola has expanded the PSC’s footprint by building strong community
partnerships and boosting volunteer recruitment to launch targeted legal clinics, phone banks, and
information sessions to better serve those in need.

Fabiola’s commitment to serving the public reaches beyond her role at the State Bar. She is a board member
and current chair of Unlimited Potential, a nonprofit dedicated to family literacy, environmental justice, and
healthy communities. A strong advocate of social justice, she is proud to serve marginalized and underserved
communities and works hard to create positive and lasting change for all people in Arizona.

She has two daughters with her husband Rene of 28 years. They share a home in south Phoenix where
she has lived since immigrating to the U.S. from Mexico nearly 42 years ago.
