Twenty-six volunteer lawyers helped 133 at-risk and homeless veterans at the annual Maricopa County StandDown hosted by the Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance on January 23 and 24.

As one of many service providers at the event, the State Bar of Arizona organized a civil legal clinic where lawyers provided free consultations to veterans in the following practice areas: family law, wills and trusts, and debt and bankruptcy. Lawyers from Community Legal Services offered consultations addressing landlord/tenant issues.
