Young Lawyers Division Spreads Holiday Cheer with Sunshine Kids

Young lawyers will host nearly 280 foster kids from Sunshine Residential Homes

PHOENIX – Dec. 10, 2019 – The Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Arizona will treat hundreds of kids from Sunshine Residential Homes to a holiday party. This year, there will be two parties on Sat., Dec. 14, 2019.

Kids ranging from 4 to 19 years of age will enjoy a holiday outing to Peter Piper Pizza, where they’ll be treated to pizza, video games, and of course a visit with Santa.

The young lawyers hope the annual party serves as a fun distraction for the kids who have been placed in residential foster care during the holidays by the Department of Child Safety. While placement at Sunshine isn’t always permanent, it can be long-term.

The annual holiday party is organized and sponsored by the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Arizona and made possible by the onsite support of 18 volunteer lawyers, staff from Sunshine Residential Homes and donations from Jennings Strouss Law Firm, Polsinelli, Tiffany & Bosco, P.A., and Azim Hameed.
