Attorney Lisa Loo Named to National Conference of Bar Presidents Council
PHOENIX – Sept. 5, 2017 – Attorney Lisa Loo, Immediate Past President of the State Bar of Arizona, is one of five bar leaders selected to serve on the National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP) Executive Council.
She was selected to serve a three-year term on the NCBP Executive Council after serving as the State Bar of Arizona’s 85th president of its Board of Governors.
Loo has served the legal profession—and the greater community—in a variety of volunteer leadership capacities and has garnered the experience and knowledge suitable for this national leadership role.
"We are pleased to hear of the appointment of Lisa Loo to the NCBP Executive Council," said State Bar President Alex Vakula. "She has played a pivotal role at the State Bar of Arizona, most recently leading its Board of Governors. We are confident she will be a great ambassador for the Arizona Bar and an effective leader on the NCBP’s Executive Council."
Loo is Vice President for Legal Affairs and Deputy General Counsel at Arizona State University and is responsible for leadership of the lawyers in the business and transactional practice group. She joined the ASU Office of General Counsel in 1993 after eight years in private practice.
NCBP was established in 1950 to provide information and training to state and local bar association leaders. The current organizational members of NCBP include state, local and special focus bars from 53 states and territories.
