State Bar Governing Structure

The State Bar of Arizona Board of Governors is the group of people that oversees the policy making and operation of the organization. The Board is comprised of 30 people, four of whom are non-attorney, public members. Attorney members of the Board are elected to three-year terms by peers in their district.

The Board is led by four officers who are selected by the Board members. Those officers are president, president-elect, vice president, and secretary-treasurer. The Executive Director oversees the State Bar staff.
