Susan Kayler,
Practice Management Manager

Susan Kayler, a practicing attorney for more than twenty years,
brings a variety of experience to her job as Practice Management
Manager. A former prosecutor, defense attorney and judge, Susan has
practiced law as a solo and in a small firm environment. She
created the first virtual prosecutor's offices in the State of
Arizona, designed a county bar association website and managed a
law firm in Arizona and Wisconsin. She has a record of community
service including Scottsdale Leadership, the Scottsdale Board of
Adjustment and as a judge for the High School Mock Trial
Competition. Susan has been a facilitator for the State Bar's
Professionalism Course and served on the Editorial Board of Arizona
Attorney magazine.
Susan created the first victim-centered prosecution programs in
Carefree, Cave Creek and Fountain Hills. She has experience with
drug, alcohol and mental health issues in connection with her work
as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. Known as an innovator
and entrepreneur, she is dedicated to offering members the
information and training they need to succeed personally and
professionally. Susan manages the Law Office Management Assistance
Program and the Member Assistance Program.

Hal M. Nevitt, LCSW,

Tracy L. Ward is a Practice Management Advisor with the Lawyer
Assistance Programs of the State Bar of Arizona. She has worked for
10+ years in a small general practice law firm as well as with a
legal recruiter. Mrs. Ward received her Bachelor of Social
Work degree from Arizona State University West.
Cathy A. McNeelege, Administrative Assistant for the Lawyer
Assistance Programs (LOMAP and MAP) of the State Bar of Arizona,
provides all of the administrative support for LOMAP's two Practice
Management Advisors and the MAP Director. Cathy worked
for Legal Services in Pennsylvania for 10 years, private law firms,
and maintained her own business providing legal support to law
firms before moving to Arizona. In 1998, Cathy began working
for the Bar's Lawyer Regulation Department working as legal
secretary to chief bar counsel and general counsel, as well as
serving as supervising legal secretary. Cathy has a
degree in court reporting and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English
from Kent State University.
Hal Nevitt is an Advisor for the Member Assistance Program.
Mr. Nevitt holds licensure in Arizona for Social Work, Substance
Abuse, and is certified nationally as an Employee Assistance
Professional. Hal has 20 years of experience providing therapy
to individuals, couples, families, and adolescents.
Hal's clinical experience includes the assessment and treatment
of substance abuse/dependency disorders, including those with
concurrent psychiatric diagnoses, depression, anxiety, and other
stress-related symptoms.
Additionally, he has considerable experience with critical
incident debriefings, to include World Trade Center Personnel. Hal
has helped to select, train, and implement debriefing teams for
police and fire departments across the state of Arizona.
Hal also provides workplace trainings for employees, and
supervisors, covering a variety of issues. Hal has testified as an
Expert Witness for the Attorney General's office, on Mental Health
Issues.
