The Member Assistance Program has trained counselors available to answer your questions about alcohol, substance abuse and mental health issues any time of day or night at 602.340.7334 or 800.681.3057.
Counseling and Referrals
MAP provides confidential counseling and referrals for members, law students and judges. Whether there is a crisis or you need help a stressful situation in your life, MAP provides up to three counseling sessions without charge. Wherever you are in Arizona, you will find statewide services available close to home.
Assessments and Monitoring
Trained counselors are available to meet with you and assess your area of concern. If there is an issue that needs further treatment, referrals are available. MAP has monitoring programs for lawyers who are faced with discipline issues and for those who participate on a voluntary, confidential basis. Whatever your situation, let us help you navigate to a solution.
Peer Support
The Member Assistance Committee is made up of volunteer lawyers and judges throughout the state who are dedicated to helping attorneys with support and assistance. Many of our volunteers are in recovery themselves and have experience to understand the challenge. Reach out to a MAC member listed on our website and let one of them help you find your way.
CLE and Education
Education is an important part of prevention and recovery. The State Bar of Arizona provides CLE programs at its annual convention including a full-day program on stress and wellness targeted for attorneys. Staff and volunteers provide presentations to law schools, specialty and local bar associations and law firms on the issues of substance abuse, mental health, recovery resources, wellness and the Member Assistance Program.
