State Bar's Tim Eigo Wins National Leadership Award
PHOENIX – Oct. 13, 2015 – Tim Eigo, Editor of Arizona Attorney magazine has been named the recipient of the 2015 E. A. "Wally" Richter Leadership Award. The Communications Section of the National Association of Bar Executives (NABE) recognized Eigo at its annual awards luncheon held in Orlando earlier this month.
According to NABE's Communication Section, the "Wally" is given to an individual "for outstanding achievement in the field of communications, for extraordinary service to colleagues in the National Association of Bar Executives, and for distinguished leadership of the Communications Section."
Eigo has been an active member of the NABE Communications Section and has held several leadership positions during his tenure—currently serving as secretary. He is also a frequent presenter at section events, including his most recent, "The Art of Presenting," which garnered audience acclaim via laughter and cheers.
"I am not surprised that others in the world of bar communications have recognized Tim's talents and contributions, said John Phelps, the Bar's CEO/Executive Director. We have known for a long time that Tim Eigo is a true superstar—we are fortunate to have him as editor-in-chief of our award-winning magazine, as well as a major contributor to our communications efforts in a variety of traditional and social media. "In short, he is the consummate communicator," he added.
Adding to the honor, the State Bar of Arizona's Communication Department walked away with a Luminary Award for its "Finish the Ballot" video campaign in the Excellence in Electronic Media category.
