State Bar of Arizona Seeking Youth Applicants
for 2011 Summer Law Camp
PHOENIX - June 6, 2011 - The State Bar of Arizona is seeking students to participate in a two-day Summer Law Camp on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25. This is the third year of the program.
The free Summer Law Camp is open to students in grades 8 through 11. However, minority students are especially encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Wednesday, June 15.
The camp encourages students to consider careers in the legal profession. Participants will learn about the law in a fun and interactive way, get an inside look at law-related careers, experience a mock trial, and chat with law students and attorneys. They will also hear from college career and financial aid counselors.
The Summer Law Camp will be held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1401 E. Jefferson St. in Phoenix from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Meals will be provided.
Our partners in the program are Phoenix School of Law, Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and Sunnyslope Apostolic Church.
For more information or to register, contact Rosie Figueroa at rosie.figueroa@staff.azbar.org or call 602-340-7393.
