Give to legal charities and earn a tax credit at the same time!
How would you like to donate money to help legal services in Arizona and then get all that money back? You can do it by making a donation to legal aid organizations in our state that are qualifying charitable organizations.
Among the groupos that rely on funding from Arizona's legal community are:
Arizona Women's Education & Employment Inc. - Legal Advocacy
Christian Legal Aid of Arizona
Community Legal Services
Defenders of Children
DNA People's Legal Services
Arizona Justice Project
Southern Arizona Legal Aid (SALA)
William E. Morris Institute for Justice
You can find a list of all qualifying organizations here.
You can earn a tax credit by donating to qualifying charitable organizations under Arizona tax laws (A.R.S. § 43-1088). Cash donations are entitled to a tax credit of up to $400 for an individual and $800 for a married couple filing their joint return.
Remember, the entire amount will be returned to you when you file your taxes next year!
For additional information and to make sure you qualify, check with your tax advisor or visit the Arizona Department of Revenue's website. Remember, this is separate from the Arizona School Tax Credits and the Foster Care Tax Credit. You can give to both and get all the money back.
Our Arizona legal community can make a difference! Please donate whatever you can afford. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
