State Bar Governing Structure
The State Bar of Arizona Board of Governors is the group of
people that oversees the policy making and operation of the
organization. The Board is comprised of 30 people, four of
whom are non-attorney, public members. Attorney members of the
Board are elected to three-year terms by peers in their
district.
The Board is led by five officers who are selected by the Board
members. Those officers are president, president-elect, first vice
president, second vice president and secretary-treasurer. The
Executive Director oversees the State Bar staff.
