DISPUTES ABOUT LEGAL FEES

Fee Arbitration is a free program provided by the State Bar of Arizona for clients and attorneys who are having a dispute over legal fees. Fee arbitration is available only if there is no lawsuit pending, if the dispute arose within the past three years, and if the amount in dispute is $500 or more. Both the client and the attorney must agree to arbitrate in order for the arbitration to go forward.

More information about the program and forms for fee arbitration can be found under Fee Arbitration Rules and Forms or by calling the Fee Arbitration Program at 602-340-7379.
